Ode to Michelle's Flip Flop Album

This is my version of Michelle's flip flop album. Check out her blog - www.stampworkshop.com - I do every single day! She's got the coolest projects and ideas. And, she's an awesome blogger! I wanted to make a mini album as a gift for Kristin when we meet up in Salt Lake City and this one is the cutest! She'll be able to include photos, journaling and even small mementos. What do you think?

3D Swap for Stampin' Up! Convention 2008

Here are a couple samples of the chocolate-holding favor I'm making for the Split Coast Stampers' 3D Swap at the Stampin' Up! Convention next week. I'm making 30 of these little beauties using all the NEW In Colors - Pirouette Pink, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, Tangerine Tango and Pacific Point - as well as the brand new WOW Flowers stamp set. The ribbon is actually Old Olive poly-twill, from the Mini Occasions catalog, since we've not gotten the chance yet to purchase ribbon in the brand new In Colors. But I think it looks perfect! What do you think of these?

Stamp Technique Club - We Have Take-Off!

Last Tuesday was our inaugural Stamp Club meeting! Ten lovely ladies joined us in learning new paper craft techniques, creating two pretty cards of their own, as well as enjoying each other's company and nibbling/sipping on delicious refreshments provided by our July hostess, Cindy.

We have a couple seasoned scrappers and several fledglings -- all interested in learning the craft. I introduced most members to VersaMark ink and the watermarking technique, showed the contents of a basic tool kit, used a variety of stamping techniques including brush markers and ink pads. Lots of fun embellishments were made and used on our first projects. Everyone had a great time being creative, which is the principal goal of our group!

We still have room for three more members, so if you're interested in having a great time being creative, learning new paper craft and stamping techniques and just having a good time with other paper crafters, drop me a line! We meet once a month, usually on the first Tuesday of the month.

Come on, what are you waiting for?!
